An Introduction to Leap Inventory

Leap Inventory allows you to sync inventory, product attributes and push orders from the destination store to the source store for fulfillment.

Inventory Sync

Leap Inventory app supports two-way inventory sync. Specifically:

1. If an inventory change happens in the source store -- either through manual adjustments or sales, it will get synced to connected destination stores.

2. If an inventory change happens in the destination store through manual adjustment, it will NOT get reflected in the source store.

3. If an inventory change happens in the destination store due to an order that is pushed to the source store using the "Order Forwarding" feature of the app, it will trigger an inventory update in the destination store.

Product Sync

Leap Inventory can sync product attributes updates from the Source store to the Destination store in real-time. You can also customize which fields you want to sync (or not sync) e.g, if you want to sync all fields except price, all you need to do is toggle the setting corresponding to "price" and the app will not update price information in the destination store. The app supports the following settings that you can customize when syncing product attributes:

  • Product title
  • Product description
  • Product tags
  • Product images
  • Product URL handle
  • Product SEO title and description
  • Variant price
  • Variant compare price
  • Variant unit cost
  • Variant inventory policy
  • Variant options

Order Forwarding

This feature is helpful if you want to forward orders placed on the destination store to the source store for fulfillment. This is especially useful in dropshipping kind of setup where you can push orders (manually or automatically) placed on your store for fulfillment to the source store.
