Creating a New Connection

In order to sync inventory and products between two Shopify stores, you first need to establish a connection between them. You need to ensure both stores have installed the app in their Shopify stores.

Once the app is installed, it assigns a unique store key to each store that has installed the app that can be used to establish a connection. You can find your unique store key by visiting the settings page of the app.

When establishing the connection between two stores, you need to specify whether a store is the source store or the destination store.

Source store: The store that holds the master inventory that fulfills and ships orders to customers.

Destination store: Store that is syncing products from the Source store to sell. Orders are generally sent to the Source store for fulfillment.

Step by step instructions to establish a connection between the stores:
  1. You need to ensure both stores have installed the Leap Inventory app. If you have not installed it already, please install it using the Shopify app store listing.
  2. When establishing the connection, you need to choose the role of each store. Each connection will have one source store and one destination store. Please ensure you're choosing the correct store type in order for the sync to work correctly.
  3. In the next step, you need to enter the store key for the store you want to connect with. So, if you are looking to establish a connection acting as a source store, you'll have to enter the store key of the destination store. If you're looking to establish connect acting as a destination store, you'll have to enter the store key of the source store. A new connection can be created by either the source store or the destination store.
